chksum.x86 is the statically linked ATOM build of the chksum TI-Checksum generator / validator in Puma6 firmware.
The chksum executable is the ARM build in these firmwares.

This tool is derived from the ti-chksum tool, which adds a checksum if it is not present yet or validates an existing one.
