In our IRC-Channels we run a selection of robots to assist in daily tasks. This covers access to the BoxMatrix database, generic IRC helper functions as well as URL collection and infos on posted URLs. |

Current IRC-Bots[edit]
BoxMatrix research bot (english language) is our second bot on ##fritzbox and it was developed to permit realtime lookup of machine readable information in this Wiki and its databases. The commands all start with a #, try #help or read the BoxMatrix-Bot documentation. If BoxMatrix is not present in the channel for some reason you can access the same commands using a $ instead of the # through FritzBot. BoxMatrix also serves ##fritznews and #freetz, see above.
urlinfo is a bot maintained by the channel regular fred, which does the job to report infos on posted URLs now that FritzBot is retired. It is based on Supybot / Limnoria (source code) using the SpiffyTitles plugin (source code).
Former IRC-Bots[edit]
FritzBot (german language) was the first IRCbot in our ##fritzbox channel, developed by the channel regular Suchiman to assist with daily tasks. The commands all start with a !, try !help or read the english FritzBot documentation, or browse the source code on github. FritzBot now is retired.
hyperhelper is a bot maintained by the channel regular hyper_ch which allows to bridge the ##fritzbox channels on Freenode and Libera. This simplifies migration since we can communicate between both channels until everyone moved over to libera. Besides this many channel friends just visit ##fritzbox occasionally, who may not know about Libera yet. hyperhelper is based on Supybot / Limnoria (source code) using the RelayNext plugin (source code).
hyperhelper was shutted down on 2021-11-24 when Freenode crippled and disposed their users and network further.
Fritzchen is a bot written by the channel regular stareye, which does the job to report infos on posted URLs if FritzBot and urlinfo are in holidays. The commands all start with a ~, try ~help for an overview. Fritzchen is written in Java (soirce code) and is work in progress. Fritzchen now is retired.
