Live-TV is the term for "realtime" broadcasted linear-TV, pretty much what TV was since it exists.
A sender broadcasts the TV program and all receivers get the same program at the same time.
Today the original analog transmission of a TV signal died out and was replaced by Digital Video Broandcasting (DVB).
DVB is used terrestrial (DVB-T), with cable (DVB-C) and via satellite (DVB-S), all sending linear Live-TV.
Another option today is streaming linear Live-TV through the internet, called IPTV.
