Printed PCB antennas, part of the main PCB, planar etched copper structures.
The advantage of PCB-Trace antennas is zero production costs, but they take longer development and testing time.
Other disadvantages are the space requirements on the PCB, and the possible need for a redesign on PCB revisions.
PCB-Trace WLAN antennas are connected directly, via a Murata or Hirose socket, or an IPEX socket using a RF cable.
