FRITZ!DECT Repeater 100 |
DECT-Accessories[edit]
DECT-Repeaters[edit]
Repeaters to range extend DECT telephony and DECT smarthome (DECT-ULE).
Some models of the FRITZ!Box-Family also support a DECT-Repeater mode for telephony.
While a DECT capable box can drive up to 6 repeaters you can not mix AVM and third party repeaters.

According to AVM the FRITZ!DECT 500 RGB-LED could not be repeated[1].
DECT-Smarthome[edit]
DECT driven FRITZ!Box compatible smarthome equipment. See the Smarthome-Selector for an overview of compatible Box-Models.
The countries below are derived from the part numbers known to Icecat. A sortable overview is the SmartDECT-Selector.
On 2024-09-03 AVM renamed the FRITZ!DECT series (except the repeater) to FRITZ!Smart, grouping them into the categories FRITZ!Smart Energy, FRITZ!Smart Thermo, FRITZ!Smart Control and FRITZ!Smart Light, plus the FRITZ!Smart Gateway.
The FRITZ!Powerline 546E shares smarthome features similar to the FRITZ!DECT 200, just without a sound sensor.
It does not use DECT but LAN, WLAN or Powerline to connect to the controlling FRITZ!Box.
DECT-Handsets[edit]
DECT-Handsets with charger to be used with FRITZ!Box models which contain a DECT controller.
A sortable overview is the Handset-Selector.

DECT-IDs[edit]
When AVM sold their first DECT capable device, the FRITZ!Fon 7150 / FRITZ!Fon MT-C they offered special downloadable .image files for the DECT firmware. For the Speedphone 300 they even placed the update inside the matching Speedport W 9x0V firmware.
With their second generation DECT phone FRITZ!Fon MT-D they started a hidden update service called CATI, like the codename of the MT-D firmware (see below). CATI is an online service only for DECT hardware which is passed an ID and the current firmware version and it responds with an update link if one exists. CATI is always accessed by the FRITZ!Box since a DECT device does not have an IP (yet). When CATI was introduced AVM did not release any DECT firmware on the browsable servers any more. This may have been caused by the fact that DECT firmware is mainly third party intellectual property, besides the AVM extensions (mostly RTX Denmark who wrote all firmware for SiTel / Dialog). However, the box firmware always contains the DECT base firmware, but it would bloat the firmware horribly to also contain all DECT client firmware. An update of a recent handset is 2.5MB.
AVM created a hidden uptdate check for FRITZ!OS as well, the first generation was called JASON update check, performed by the library libjasonclient.so (firmware 4.77-7.08) which permitted to request updates for a bunch of devices in one go. It is passed an XML file (yes, JASON is not JSON format) describing all AVM hardware and versions found and the result is an XML file with updates, if some could be found. The request XML is merged from the file jason_boxinfo.xml which AVM products keep accessible on their webservers without login. This list is extended by info which could not be gathered by HTTP. This enabled AVM to return better context related responses. Ie: A Labor on the Box enables the matching DECT Labor on the handset.
While the complexity of client hardware emerged further (powerline, 3rd party hardware, hanfun) AVM created an even more descriptive update service called JUIS, performed by the library libjuisclient.so (firmware 6.54-now), It pretty much works like JASON but sends advanced info about the hardware it found. The request XML is collected from the file juis_boxinfo.xml which all recent AVM products keep accessible on their webservers without login, and of course as a fallback for older hardware from jason_boxinfo.xml. In 7.39 labor AVM also added juis_boxinfo.json. Haha, JUIS introduced JSON, JASON did not :) Like the JASON update check JUIS extends the list by info which could not be gathered by HTTP. Imagine: Powerline stuff is not proprietary and AVM even supports updates for some third party adapters. FIXME: Explain which!
All 3 services are still running, CATI, JASON and JUIS, and all expect the following IDs to describe DECT hardware:

FRITZ!DECT Garten
is a Garden Water Control system, using a valve to slowly open and close the flow, pretty much what a dect 30x does, instead of a magnetic shutter which would do a hard cut.FRITZ!Temp
appears to be a Temperature Sensor, likely the DECT chip is the most expensive part and its pricing vs. features likely can not beat the FRITZ!DECT 440.Switch220
/ FRITZ!DECT 220
*may be* a predecessor of the FRITZ!DECT 200 with the WLAN chip and antennas assembled which the 200 omitted. See the PCB image.
During research I did this (german) IPPF posting.
