FRITZ!Box 7520 v2

Overview[edit]

This article describes the v2 version of the 7520 - for a comparison of all versions see the 7520 Versions article.

The FRITZ!Box 7520 v2 (aka Typ B) is the successor of the FRITZ!Box 7520 [v1]. It was silently introduced by 1&1 at mid 2022-06 when a client reported it. Unlike the 7520v1 it uses the 7530-Casing in black colour.

It is based on the same quad core Dakota as the 7520v1, so it shares the same WLAN, networking and USB capabilities, but this is the first box using a Realtek RTL86 VDSL modem frontend.

Note that the information above is merged from all current Firmware versions available for this model, if there are multiples.
For a more detailed per Firmware view see the Firmware-Scans below, and have a look at the Firmware-History.

Modding[edit]

Daily updated index of all FRITZ!Box 7520 v2 firmware modding projects. Last update: 2024-11-15 08:51 GMT.
This list excludes community ripping, code raping, project killing and permanent quarrel and combat enforcing individuals.
BoxMatrix tries to be a service to the community without doing harm to anyone, and not a platform to advertize the opposite.
Mother nature will bill for all time, manpower, projects, fun and passion which was ripped from the community for sick battle.
Let this reaver suck all honest work on this planet and pretend he knew it first. Mother nature will ripp it off his bones.
And if this sick (single sided) perversion continues I have no other option than invoking the police. Please someone stop him.

Legend:   ok = maintained   -   eos = unmaintained   -   See also the Modding-Selector and Moddable-Models!

Weblinks[edit]

So far 1&1 does not provide a separate product page (yet?) so the 7520v1 links are repeated here:

Daily updated index of all FRITZ!Box 7520 v2 websites. Last update: 2024-11-16 04:03 GMT.

Legend:   on = live URL.   -   host = hosted here.   -   arc = from archive.org.   -   nonpub = non public.   -   dead = dead link.   -   Bold = service portal.

Downloads[edit]

Neither 1&1 nor AVM provide a separate PDFs (yet?) so the 7520v1 links are repeated here:

Daily updated index of all FRITZ!Box 7520 v2 downloads. Last update: 2024-11-16 04:57 GMT.

Legend:   on = live URL.   -   host = hosted here.   -   arc = from archive.org.   -   nonpub = non public.   -   dead = dead link.   -   Bold = latest firmware.

Firmware-Scans[edit]

Daily updated scans of the latest firmware for the FRITZ!Box 7520 v2. Last update: 2024-11-16 05:04 GMT.
Note that models with multiple Linux instances have multiple scan results per firmware labeled main/scrpn/boot/arm/prx/atom.
All dates have been converted to GMT.

No firmware to scan!

Note that the rtl Linux is very very compact and derived from the Realtek SDK, see the linux.bin article.
It is not an AVM enhanced Linux with Install-Type etc, as you can see from the empty parameters above.

Part-Numbers[edit]

Daily updated index of FRITZ!Box 7520 v2 part numbers. Last update: 2024-11-16 04:30 GMT. Click an EAN/GTIN or MPN to search the web for it.
If you know any part numbers not listed here yet, expecially OEM and country specific versions, then please get in touch.

Legend:   ok = supported   -   eos = EOS   -   sold = still sold   -   dead = not sold any more   -   Bold = maintained Icecat entry   -   Italic = logistic entry without datasheet
