Details
Google Play Music was a free music hosting and streaming service provided by Google since November 2011.
A user could upload up to 50,000 own MP3 files and stream them to his computers and mobile devices for free.
With a paid subscription the complete Play Music catalog could be streamed additionally.
This is all past, since Google shutted Play-Music down in December 2020, in favor of its new YouTube Music
service.
FRITZ!OS
FRITZ!OS supported Play-Music by the client and database generator libgpmdb.so which was controlled by the database server
daemon gpmdb for doing a job similar to the local fritznasdb server.
Streaming and control was provdided by libgpmsrv.so plugin for libavmupnp.so / libavmupnpbig.so / gpmdb.
Discovery was provided by the GPMDev
UPnP root device, announced by SSDP, described by GPMDevDesc.xml.
