Details

toad is the Broadcom Traffic Ordering Agent Daemon.

It permits to statically or dynamically prioritize traffic and air-time of different VAPs running on the same WLAN hardware.

An example usage would be giving a private WLAN higher priority than a guest or hotspot WLAN.

There's a commandline frontend for runtime configuration named toast.

7581 fw 7.17:

root@fritz:/var/mod/root# toad --help

usage: toad [options]

options are:
-D <mask> Specify the debugging bitmask
    -h This help text
-i <ifname> Specify the WL driver interface to operate on (default=wl0)
-I "<ifname> <ifname> ..." Specify a list of WL driver interfaces to operate on
-S "<ssid> <ssid> ..." Specify a list of SSIDs matching the interface list
-O <mask> Specify the TOAD Ordering options, as a bitmask:
(no value) Order stations statically, as instructed by configuration
00000040 Order stations dynamically by Phase 1 scheduler score
00000020 Order stations dynamically by user priority
00000010 Order stations dynamically by BSS index
00000008 Order stations dynamically by staprio
00000004 Order stations dynamically by TX Rate
00000002 Order stations dynamically by RSSI
00000001 Order stations dynamically by Association ID
(00000054 is the default ordering options bitmask)
-p <seconds> Specify the poll interval (default=5 seconds)

Note that if an interface list is specified, the first interface must be the master interface.
