Description: | Running multiple Linux instances on multiple different CPUs |
Goto: FRITZ!OS - Multi-Linux - Cluster-Linux - SMW-Browser
Details
Multi-Linux is the term used here for running multiple different Linux instances on multiple different CPUs.
FRITZ!OS
Normally FRITZ!OS consists of one Linux kernel and one filesystem image for the rootfs,
but depending on the model it may consist of up to 3 different Linux instances and filesystems
This article will collect all these Multi-Linux models. Communiation is covered in the Inter-CPU article.
Multi-Linux
Dual- and Triple-Linux models run 2 or 3 different FRITZ!OS parts / Linux instances on 2 or 3 different CPUs simultaneously.
A Wrapper-Linux (wrap)
boots the core FRITZ!OS (main)
so they run after each others on the same CPU and Kernel,
