Details
boa is an older single-tasking HTTP only webserver.
It is open source (GPLv2) and the latest release was Version 0.94.14 rc21 from 2005-02-23.

Realtek uses an extended 0.94.15 version of boa, with these features:
- boa.conf with apache alike config syntax.
- HTTP 0.9 and 1.0 support, no HTTPS support
- mime.types support
- Basic Authentication (boaUser.passwd + boaSuper.passwd)
- CGI 1.1 support
- on the fly decompression of
.gzfiles using gunzip. - SSI for
.aspfiles - RTL86 configuration of a universal VoIP WLAN router with DSL or Fiber
- Config stored in a MIB database using libmib.so
boa is started without any arguments in startup.
RTL-Research
Note that research on the RTL86 chipset and its Linux and drivers is very difficult and the results are highly unfinished.
