Details

Excerpt from:   BusyBox manual   >>   ifenslave command

ifenslave [-cdf] master-iface <slave-iface...>
Configure network interfaces for parallel routing
Options:
        -c, --change-active Change active slave
-d, --detach Remove slave interface from bonding device
-f, --force Force, even if interface is not Ethernet

Excerpt from:   BusyBox source   >>   ifenslave command   -   Last update: 2024-04-25 03:56 GMT.

Usage:
    ifenslave [-cdf] MASTER_IFACE SLAVE_IFACE...

Configure network interfaces for parallel routing

        -c Change active slave
-d Remove slave interface from bonding device
-f Force, even if interface is not Ethernet

Example:
To create a bond device, simply follow these three steps:
- ensure that the required drivers are properly loaded:
  # modprobe bonding ; modprobe <3c59x|eepro100|pcnet32|tulip|...>
- assign an IP address to the bond device:
  # ifconfig bond0 <addr> netmask <mask> broadcast <bcast>
- attach all the interfaces you need to the bond device:
  # ifenslave bond0 eth0 eth1 eth2
If bond0 didn't have a MAC address, it will take eth0's. Then, all
interfaces attached AFTER this assignment will get the same MAC addr.

To detach a dead interface without setting the bond device down:
  # ifenslave -d bond0 eth1

To set the bond device down and automatically release all the slaves:
  # ifconfig bond0 down

  To change active slave:
  # ifenslave -c bond0 eth0

Note that some options may not be compiled in. If Usage: is shown multiple times these are compile options.

GPL-Browser

Daily updated index of all ifenslave code findings on the GPL-Browser. Last update: 2024-04-25 04:12 GMT.
The Browse column points to the Path containing the respective source code on the gpl.boxmatrix.info service.
The SoC column lists the Chip-Codenames, the Model column lists the nicks of the Box-Models.
The Diff column links the comparison of the AVM Kernel to the pristine original from Kernel.org.
The Download column links the full tarball the respective directory content is extracted from.
The presence of the source does not mean it fits the respective model and architecture. See the Model-Matrix where it's used.

Model-Matrix

Daily updated index of the presence, path and size of this command for each model. Last update: 2024-04-25 05:07 GMT.
Showing all models using this command. Click any column header (click-wait-click) to sort the list by the respective data.
The (main/scrpn/boot/arm/prx/atom) label in the Model column shows which CPU is meant for models with multiple Linux instances.
Note that this list is merged from Firmware-Probes of all known AVM firmware for a model, including Recovery.exe and Labor-Files.
The path <bb> means the applet could be located in the busybox binary and could be called busybox ifenslave.
If a path is shown and no <bb> marker, then this is a dead link to a missing applet.
