losetup [-o OFS] LOOPDEV FILE - associate loop devices losetup -d LOOPDEV - disassociate losetup [-f] - show Options: -o OFS Start OFS bytes into FILE -f Show first free loop device
Excerpt from: BusyBox source >> losetup command - Last update: 2024-04-18 03:56 GMT.
Usage: losetup [-rP] [-o OFS] {-f|LOOPDEV} FILE: associate loop devices losetup -c LOOPDEV: reread file size losetup -d LOOPDEV: disassociate losetup -a: show status losetup -f: show next free loop device -o OFS Start OFS bytes into FILE -P Scan for partitions -r Read-only -f Show/use next free loop deviceOne argument (losetup /dev/loop1) will display the current association (if any), or disassociate it (with -d). The display shows the offset and filename of the file the loop device is currently bound to. Two arguments (losetup /dev/loop1 file.img) create a new association, with optional partition scanning (creates /dev/loop1p1, /dev/loop1p2 etc. with -P) and with an optional offset (-o 12345). Encryption is not yet supported. losetup -f will show the first free loop device
Note that some options may not be compiled in. If Usage: is shown multiple times these are compile options.

The (main/scrpn/boot/arm/prx/atom)
label in the Model
column shows which CPU is meant for models with multiple Linux instances.
Note that this list is merged from Firmware-Probes of all known AVM firmware for a model, including Recovery.exe and Labor-Files.
The path <bb> means the applet could be located in the busybox binary and could be called busybox losetup.
If a path is shown and no <bb> marker, then this is a dead link to a missing applet.
