Details
psictl is the Broadcom Profile Storage Interface Control utility.
It accesses the brcmboard device, which is served by board.ko.
PSI (profile storage for configuration data) typically is an area at the end of the flash image
in Broadcom-only routers which use their CFE bootloader, see this PDF.
FRITZ!OS uses an own bootloader and flash image layout without a PSI.
