Details
core-devicemode gets or sets the active device mode
or lists the modes the device supports.
This is the commandline frontend to the core_devicemode_*
functions of libcore.so.
The functions and this command were introduced in fw 7.90, both are not used by the system (yet).
The device mode
is stored in dtbsuffix and can either be wan
or fiber
. The default
mode is fiber
or empty?
Changing the device mode
may require a reboot which the caller has to perform, see the Exit codes
below.
4050 fw 7.90:
Usage: core-devicemode [OPTION] Get or set the active devicemode or list the modes the device has. When no option is given, core-devicemode prints the active devicemode. Options: -h Print this help text. -l List the modes the device has. -s DEVICEMODE Set a new devicemode (DEVICEMODE is one of the device's modes or 'default'). Exit codes: 0 Success. If the devicemode was set, a reboot is required. 1 Setting the devicemode was successful and reboot is NOT required. 100 Invalid or missing arguments. 111 An error occurred. If setting the devicemode failed, a reboot is not required.
