Chip-Details

BCM63 is the nickname used here for the BCM963xxx and BCM63xxx series of DSL SoCs, since they do not have any known codename.

The BCM63178 used in the 7530ax is a Triple Core 1500MHz VDSL Super Vectoring SoC, the world's first single chip DSL router with integrated WLAN.

The BCM63138 used in the 7581 and 7582 is a Dual Core 1000MHz G.Fast SoC, with integrated DECT Baseband Processor. Broadcom does not even promote the DECT part in their online pages.

The differences between the 963xxx and 63xxx numbers are still unknown. Broadcom only uses the 63xxx numbers online. If you know more please get in touch.

AVM only uses the 963 numbers in their Config-Environment;
