Details
An Online-Phonebook is an unspecific term for a Phonebook or subset of an address book which is stored on a server.
It is used where multiple devices or applications need to share and synchronize a Phonebook.
FRITZ!OS
FRITZ!OS can synchronize its Phonebook from the address book of a range of Webmail services or from a CardDAV server.
For this an Online-Phonebook has to be added to the local Phonebook, which then is synchronized from the server.

Synchonization of CardDAV based contacts and Google-Contacts is explained separately,
For the remainder it is performed by the pbupd client, at least once each 24 hours. pbupd is started by libcmapi.so for ctlmgr.
The Webinterface manages Online-Phonebooks in the ontel ui-module, which is maintained by libcmapi.so for ctlmgr.
Configuration is stored in the onlinetel section of voip.cfg which is maintained by libar7cfg.so.
