Details

upx-prx-mgmtd is an Inter-CPU 'system is alife' monitoring and signaling daemon running on the Falcon of a 5590.
It provides a low-level and a high level interface to inform upx-hwk-mgmtd on Hawkeye that the Falcon system is alife.

The low-level interface is the fm_alive GPIO output line to Hawkeye, which is set to 1 when the Falcon is booted.
The high level interface is Port-4242-udp, to receive ping messages from Hawkeye, which are responded to the same port
on Hawkeye to signal the Falcon is up and running.

This daemon is started by upx-prx-mgmtd.sh, a wrapper script which adds logging of stdout and stderr.
The successor of this daemon is msoc-comp-mgmtd.
