Details
mpoactl is the commandline controlling frontend for mpoad.
It is called by endptd and libmib.so, see the Examples.
mpoactl opens the named pipe /tmp/serv_fifo
for communication with endptd and mpoad.
fw 7.30 info from the strings of endptd:
usage: command line: mpoactl add/addclip vc[x] pvc [vpi.vci] encaps [type] qos [qos string] mpoactl del vc[x] mpoactl show all parameter: x: pvc channel index. [0-15] vpi.vci: vpi/vci value. [0-255].[0-65535] type: MPOA encapsulation; 0 bridged/VC-MUX, 1 bridged/LLC, 3 routed/VC-MUX, 4 routed/LLC qos string: ubr:[ubrParms] | cbr:[cbrParms] | nrt-vbr:[nrtParms] | rt-vbr:[rtParms] ubrParms: pcr=[value] cbrParms: pcr=[value] nrtParms: pcr=[value],scr=[value],mbs=[value] rtParms: pcr=[value],scr=[value],mbs=[value]
Examples
From fw 7.30 endptd:
mpoactl add vc%d pvc %d.%d encaps %d qos %s mpoactl del vc%d mpoactl getvc all
From fw 7.30 libmib.so:
mpoactl add %s pvc %u.%u encaps %s qos %s mpoactl set %s vlan %d vid %d vprio %d mpoactl del vc%u
RTL-Research
Note that research on the RTL86 chipset and its Linux and drivers is very difficult and the results are highly unfinished.
Source
The names of source files compiled into an executable often help to understand function blocks (and show gaps in the docs).
fw 7.30 source files:
$ strings /bin/mpoactl | grep -e '\.c$' -e '\.cpp$' <empty>
