Details

ptmctl configures the RTL86 Packet Transfer Mode (PTM).
PTM is a virtual connection multiplexing technology, an alternative to ATM.

ptmctl is called, by endptd and startup and by the rc boot script, see the Examples.

RTL-Research

Note that research on the RTL86 chipset and its Linux and drivers is very difficult and the results are highly unfinished.
