Details

ddl downloads a DOCSIS image. It is implemented in the multi-call binary docsis_dl_box.
The symlink is installed on Puma7 models but not directly used in FRITZ!OS.

ddl - Docsis Download. Download a DOCSIS image

Usage:

ddl <-docsis|-vendor|-dsg> [if=<filename>] [of=<filename>] [estb=<filename>] [byets=<size>]

  -docsis          Download Signed DOCSIS image.
                   Get input image, parse and validate the DOCSIS, check signatures,
                   and send a raw image to output (image without the header)
  -vendor          Download Vendor image.
                   Get the input image, parse and validate the harder, check CRC,
                   and send a raw image to output (image without the header), also
                   send the estb image to secondary output
  -dsg             Download dsg image.
                   Copy the image "as is" from input to output and also upload the
                   image, to remote Set-Top-Box.
  if=<filename>    Source input filename to download from.
                   If this option is omitted then use standard input instead.
  of=<filename>    Destination output filename to download to.
                   If this option is omitted then use standard output instead.
  estb=<filename>  Destination output filename to download to the estb part of a 'vendor' image.
                   If this option is omitted then use standard output instead.
  byets=<size>     The size of the input file.
                   If this option is omitted then read until EOF.

The action itself is performed by the SWDL_Docsis_Download / SWDL_Vendor_Download functions in libcrypto_docsis.so.
