Details

ewnw_devfiles.sh is a helper script which creates chardevice files needed for AVM network kernel modules.
It is started by net_basic.sh and interacts with a procfs interface provided by cchardev.ko at /proc/cchardevice.

cchardev.ko is an AVM module for easy creation of char devices. It is used by some routing related modules from AVM.

Simplified from fw 7.57:

if [ -f /proc/cchardevice/mknod-parameters ] ; then

   # create chardevice files

while read name type major minor ; do

      mknod "/dev/$name" $type $major $minor

   done < /proc/cchardevice/mknod-parameters

   # remove chardevice files

   while read name ; do

      rm -f "/dev/$name"

   done < /proc/cchardevice/remove

   # cleanup the provided lists

   echo cleanup > /proc/cchardevice/control

fi

The (main/scrpn/boot/arm/prx/atom) label in the Model column shows which CPU is meant for models with multiple Linux instances.
Note that this list is merged from Firmware-Probes of all known AVM firmware for a model, including Recovery.exe and Labor-Files.
