Details
processor lists the logical CPU core number the subsequent description belongs to, starting with 0.
It introduces a description block for this logocal core. The blocks are separated by empty lines.
On MIPS based SoCs this is not the first entry but part of the respective block.
ARM cores of Puma SoCs (mis)use processor to list the exact ARM core description. Other ARM based SoCs use model-name.
Excerpt from the proc(5) man page:
/proc/cpuinfo This is a collection of CPU and system architecture dependent items, for each supported architecture a different list. Two common entries are logical processor which gives CPU number and bogomips; a system constant that is calculated during kernel initialization. SMP machines have information for each CPU. The lscpu(1) command gathers its information from this file.
