Chip-Codename

Chip-Details

Maple is the codename for the less attractively named but officially promoted Immersive Home (IH) platform.

It is a range of WiFi-6 capable WiSoCs, available as 1.0 or 1.2 MHz CPU versions, with MU 2x2 2.4GHz WLAN.
Besides this it contains a 1000 MHz NPU. Optionally a Spruce WLAN SoC could be attached for adding MU 2x2 5GHz WLAN.

AVM uses the Maple dual band with the Spruce in the FRITZ!Box 4050, FRITZ!Box 7530 AX v2 and the FRITZ!Repeater 1200 AX.
In the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX the Maple runs triple band with the Spruce and the Pine.
In the FRITZ!Box 7510, the FRITZ!Smart Gateway and the FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX the Maple runs single band without Spruce.

The 7510 and the 3000ax use the Maple IPQ5018 with 512MB external RAM.
The 1200ax, the FRITZ!Smart Gateway and the 1240ax use the Maple IPQ5010 with 256MB builtin RAM.
AVM calls this Maple lowmem.

Both of these Maple versions support BlueTooth on an extra antenna.
So far this is only connected (but currently unused) in the FRITZ!Smart Gateway.

See also this Maple version comparison and these IPQ5018 details.

According to these details the IPQ5018 has a 12-threaded Ubi32 NPU running at 1.0 GHz.
