Chip-Details

The Puma5 is the first generation of DOCSIS SoCs used by AVM, the base of the FRITZ!Box 63xx Cable routers.

It is the last development by Texas Instruments before they sold their Cable Modem Unit to Intel.
The original TI chips were named TNETC4800, Intel renamed them to DNCE2500 after the purchase. The successor of the Puma5 is the Puma6.
