Lantiq ARX188 aka AR9

Chip-Codename

Chip-Details

The AR9 is the successor of the UR8, the base of some cost reduced FRITZ!Box 73xx routers.

It is the first ADSL SoC by Infineon after they purchased the DSL CPE Business of Texas Instrument.
Unlike the UR8 it is a single chip design again (like the AR7), and does not require a DSL frontend.
The official name of the AR9 is ARX188, the successor chip is the AR10.
