Description: | 360MHz MIPS32 4KEc, ADSL2+ SoC |
Chip-Details
The UR8 is the successor of the AR7 Ohio, the base of all FRITZ!Box
routers of generation x2xx.
It is the last development by Texas Instruments before they sold their DSL CPE Business to Infineon, today Lantiq.
TI named the UR8 TNETD7531, after the purchase it was renamed to PSB7531.
Unlike the AR7 the UR8 is no single chip design any more, it requires the DSL frontend TNETD80PGP / PSB80PGP.
For models which do not support DSL the UR8 is used as a standalone network processor, without external frontend.
The successors of the UR8 are the AR9 for ADSL and the VR9 for VDSL.
