Details
CONFIG_LED_DIMM_AUTO = y states that this model has an ambient light sensor for automatical LED dimming.
Only a few models have such a sensor, just the 7590 and its derivatives, including the 7590ax and the 6890.
Due to the lack of a FPGA the 7590axv2 does not have this sensor. Although the v2 runs the same firmware as the 7590ax [v1]
this feature is deactivated in rc.errata.sh, setting this variable to n on a v2.
Such a sensor can only be located where light comes into a box, and there is only one safe place, where the LEDs are located.
Have a look at the dual color Info LED and the little device near it:
And the AX v2 where it's not assembled:
If this is true putting a thumb on the Info LED will dim all LEDs if automatic dimming is enabled.
The automatic dimming is performed by grx-ambient-light.
