Function: | Ethernet switch chip monitoring and management daemon on early 6490 ARM firmware. |
Goto: Dependencies - Model-Matrix - Symbols - SMW-Browser
Details
extswitchwatch is the Ethernet switch chip monitoring and management daemon on early 6490 ARM firmware.
It is started by pcd from puma6_system.pcd.
It monitors link status and speed of all Ethernet ports of the switch. On changes it sends LED events using libled2.so.
It also sends ethernet_connect_status events from its Ethernet_status event source.
extswitchwatch provides the ethwatch event sink to receive powermanagment events for all ports.
Depending on the event the maximum link speed will be adapted, if a port is switched to green mode.
It uses the temp files ethpowerctl, ethpowerctl.state, extswitchmacs and extswitchmacs.new.
