Details

rpctrl sends a command to a RPC endpoint, similar to what msgsend does with other endpoints.

fw 7.29 help:

root@fritz2:/var/mod/root# rpctrl -?

usage: rpctrl [options]

options:
  -?                 - print this help
  -s UNSIGNED        - Sync Type (0 - 3). (0)
  -p UNSIGNED        - Position for Server-Control-RPC-Request. (0)
  -i UNSIGNED        - Setzt die Info-Zahl im RPC-Request. (0)
  -t UNSIGNED - Timeout in seconds for the Server-Control-RPC-Requests. (5)
  -D STRING - switch debug logs on. (FUNC)

Endpoints

Have a look at the Endpoints section of each daemon article linked below for their respective features.
So far only one endpoint is used by rpctrl but see the Dependencies of libacsrpc.so how many services use RPC endpoints.

Source

The names of source files compiled into an executable often help to understand function blocks (and show gaps in the docs).
fw 7.39 source files:

$ strings /bin/rpctrl | grep -e '\.c$' -e '\.cpp$'

rpctrl.c
