Function: | ARM TrustZone updater containing the binary blob. |
Goto: Dakota - Dependencies - Model-Matrix - Symbols - SMW-Browser
Details
tz_update is the TrustZone updater on Hawkeye and Dakota models containing the binary blob to update the QSEE partitions.
It is the in-FRITZ!OS equivalent of tzupdate stored in a firmware update image.
If tz_update is present it is started at boot time by E02-tz_update. If it returns 0 an update was performed, requesting a reboot.
In recent supervisor equipped firmware E02-tz_update is started by the cortexa9 script launched by the cortexa9.service.
Although cortexa9 and cortexa9.service are also present on Maple models tz_update was not included there (yet).
Dakota
On Dakota tz_update searches for the MIBIB block to gather the QSEE locations in mtd2.
MIBIB is located at offset 512 KB in mtd2, see the SBL article for the partition table.
7530ac fw 7.39 help - no help function provided - directly runs:
root@fritz:/var/mod/root# tz_update -? [tz-update] bound mibib block at page 524288. [tz-update] 2 trustzones found. update index 0 first. [tz-update] tz0 already up to date. version: 10228 [tz-update] tz1 already up to date. version: 10228
Of course bound is a typo for found here :)
