Chip-Codename

Chip-Details

Alder is the codename for a range of IPQ95xx Network SoCs for WiFi 7 WLAN chipsets.

Qualcomm calls it the Network Pro 1620 / 1220 / 820 / 620 Wi-Fi 7 Platform.

There are several variants of the Alder, all have a Quad Core ARM Cortex A73 CPU[1]

  • IPQ9574 / IPQ9570 - Pro 1620 - 2.2 GHz CPU + 2x 1.7 GHz NPU, 16 streams
  • IPQ9554 / IPQ9550 - Pro 1220 - 1.5 GHz CPU + 2x 1.5 GHz NPU, 12 streams
  • IPQ9534 / IPQ9530 - Pro 820 - 1.5 GHz CPU + 2x 1.5 GHz NPU, 8 streams
  • IPQ9514 / IPQ9510 - Pro 620 - 1.5 GHz CPU + 2x 1.5 GHz NPU, 6 streams

AVM uses the Alder in the triple band FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro together with 2 Waikikis.
The exact Alder variant has yet to be researched.

The path of 5690pro caldata.bin names the flagship version IPQ9574 which supports 16-stream 3x 4x4.
wlan_product.cfg names Alder + Waikiki + Waikiki for the 3 MU 4x4 bands.

According to device-tree info found on the GPL-Browser the FRITZ!Box 4690 is also based on an Alder.
