Details

libwebkpi.so is a KPI collector for system parts which use HTTP / HTTPS.
It serves me_webkpi_($num).ctl to receive KPI from the sensor library libwebkpiclient.so.

libwebkpi.so provides 3 groups of functions:

  • webkpi_sender_* which is only used by libwebkpiclient.so
  • webkpi_receiver_* which is only used by libtr069.so
  • WEBKPI_IPC_* and webkpi_ipc_* which are only used library internal

The sender and receiver both support is_monitored_host filtering, to limit data to a list of hosts.
So far these hosts are monitored:

Apparently AVM only monitors the performance of their own services.

libwebkpi.so is only used by the ctlmgr plugin libtr069.so, not as an ISP service but for the AVM ARGO service.
ISPs are not interested in the performance of AVM services.

The IPC functions in libwebkpi.so are likely used for Inter-CPU collection of web KPI since me_webkpi_($num).ctl
is only accessible from the local filesystem.

They maintain the NW_IPC_EVT_WEBKPI event in the AVMIPC-Datastore, likely with attached JSON data.
Network IPC research is not finished yet, and may also be part of Mesh IPC communication.

This reseach is based on the 7590 7.39 r99710 Firmware, which does not contain a further user of NW_IPC_EVT_WEBKPI.
